So, I just wanted to give everyone a bit of an update, have a little catch up and give you all some real exciting news!

Since starting Enhanced Valeting in 2019, the company has grown exponentially and even though we had to stop working through various lockdowns and jump over endless hurdles along the way, we’re now operating two full time valeters with two mobile valeting vans and have just short of 70 vehicles on the books for maintenance washes ranging from 2 weekly to 6 weekly. We have expanded to cover more areas and even with both valeters running full time our wait times are still typically around 4 weeks for new customers, down from 7 weeks when it was just myself working from 1 van.

With that said, and with everything running smoothly, we are making some changes to how we operate. I will outline the changes below, and then go fully into detail further on.

  • Removal of mini valets from the services we offer
  • Removal of our regular maintenance scheme. Bare with us here, it’s not all bad news!
  • Launch of our Enhanced Signature Package
  • Addition of Enhanced Competitions
  • Launch of the Enhanced Members Club!

Removal of mini valets:

The main reason for this decision is that we’re perfectionists when it comes to looking after cars… We’re in a position where we are offering a clean which means leaving a job with things such as door cards not being cleaned and cup holders still dirty as part of the service. That’s not something we’re happy to do, and often find ourselves completing half valets instead of minis just because we don’t want to be associated with an unsatisfactory clean. We’re not a local car wash where things like that are considered normal, we’re here to provide a premium service on your doorstep and it’s only right that our services and prices reflect that.

There’s also no hiding it, prices are increasing everywhere you look. We don’t want to just hike prices and not give anything extra back in return which is why we’re having this revamp. We’re not just ramping up the prices, we’re adapting our services to provide you with next level mobile car care.

This has been something that we’ve been toying with for a long time, and probably one of the biggest mistakes made when launching Enhanced Valeting. Put simply, we don’t like doing a mini valet. It’s the wrong combination of value for money, especially on our part as it costs us almost the same amount of money to complete a mini valet as it does a half or a full and ultimately, a business has to make money. Since launching in 2019 we’ve had 1 very minor price increase which was a couple of months in and since then our prices have remained the same. Prices have risen massively around us, yet to continue building the business we haven’t increased ours. See the table below to understand just how much our running costs have increased and that will give you a much better understanding as to why we need to remove mini valets from our services.

Addition of the Enhanced Signature Package:

Many of you have already received our protection package in the past. We love completing protection packages as nothing comes close to seeing a customers face when you give them their keys back and they see their vehicle looking the best it has ever been, literally! We wanted to find a way to take our protection package one step further and as it’s now offered as standard for those of you who are joining our members club we really wanted to make it special.

One thing we really wanted to change was how much work we completed on the interior of the vehicle as up until now it has always focused mainly on the exterior. The interior of the vehicle always received a good freshen up, but we wanted to take it further and now we’ve done that. The new signature package is a complete overhaul inside and out and takes what we had on the original protection package to a new level. It also provides the best possible starting base for those of you joining the members club and sets the baseline with what to expect from our visits.

Addition of the Enhanced Competitions (beta):

Something that I (Harry) have always been interested in is raffles, competitions and lotteries. Stretching way back before Enhanced Valeting was launched I actually ran a company called GoRafflin which enabled people to win awesome prizes such as designer handbags, games consoles and concert tickets at affordable prices.

I took this a step further and offered people the chance to win crypto prizes such as Bitcoin for real low ticket prices. All of these were successful but for a number of different reasons I couldn’t keep the companies running.

Now I have one of the most established mobile valeting companies in Hertfordshire, I thought it would be a good idea to combine previous knowledge and experience with what we have running now.

I’ve implemented Enhanced Competitions on our website already. It’s fully automated, the winners are drawn upon the last ticket selling and most importantly it is COMPLETELY random! I see lots of competitions hosted on social media, and one piece of feedback I always used to receive was that it simply isn’t trusted.

Enhanced Competitions is active as of now, but as with anything that requires payments and user accounts, everything has to be properly beta tested. Pending successful testing, I will potentially open the competition platform to other local businesses to host competitions in a secure and trusted way through my site.

I will be looking for people to test this with me over the coming weeks, so keep your eyes peeled for more information.

Removal of the regular maintenance scheme:

This is going to be one of the most impacting changes to most of you. Currently, we run a maintenance scheme which enable those receiving cleans at “regular intervals” to a half valet for the price of a mini valet. The express wax is swapped for a ceramic sealant and we’ll often do things like clean seats as and when required. Much like the reasons for stopping mini valets, prices have increased massively around us, and we’re doing a lot of work equating to a half valet for the price of a mini. It’s not massively viable when everyone’s prices around us are going up.

We have regular clients who agreed to join on 4 weekly cleans, and over the years have increased slowly to 6 or 7 weekly. A vehicle which is left 7 weeks to us isn’t classed as regular, and unless we have discussed reasons as to why your cleans can be spaced at longer intervals then 4 weeks really should be max! We will still be offering regular cleans, but these will come through the Members Club and the way they work will be slightly different. Although the price will be more, the results will be completely different to anything you’ve seen from a mobile valet before. Nothing is off the cards, and we’re taking mobile car care to the next level.

If you feel like the members club isn’t for you, then it may seem like a big increase for your cleans. Currently if you have a large vehicle then you’ll pay £45 for a clean which should be £60 every 4 weeks. As we’re ending the mini valet prices, the best suggestion I can make to those of you who want to continue with our services would be to increase the time in-between your cleans. If you increase from 4 weekly to 5/6 weekly then the £45 increase to £60 works out as virtually the same price to duration of clean.

The Enhanced Members Club

Our new baby, an idea we first had through the first lockdown and something that until recently has just been thoughts running through our heads. We’ve got an entire section on my website for the Members Club so we won’t go into crazy amounts of detail here, but in short the Members Club is a monthly subscription service that literally leaves you fully in control with what work we complete on a monthly basis. It’s discounts with other local businesses. It’s retaining resale value in your vehicle and avoiding end of lease penalties. It’s a monthly donation to a charity voted for by club members. It’s free carbon cleaning and initial protection packages to ensure your vehicle is in top condition all year round.

Currently we have around 70 vehicles on our maintenance scheme and it’s going to be a surprise to a lot of you that things are changing.
